Becoming a pilot is Bitlife is easier than you might think, if you know how to do it. Unfortunately, many players are confused on how to do this. That’s why we’ve created this to the point guide that’ll teach you in a few easy steps exactly how you can get that pilot job!
Requirements for becoming a pilot in Bitlife
- A university degree -> medical school.
- Good stats (especially the “smarts” stat is important for becoming a pilot).
- Getting hired for the “pilot trainee” job.
Steps to becoming a pilot in Bitlife
- Get a good start. We’ve gone over this in our guides for other professions, but getting a good start in Bitlife (just like in real life) is important. If you’re in the unfortunate situation of being born with a low “smart” stat then we recommend starting a new life. If you’ve gotten a life with more than 85+ smart, continue on. The reason why the “smart” stat is so important is because without it it’s impossible to become a pilot.
- Maintain your high smartness stat by doing well in high school. This means studying, going to the library, avoiding drugs & alcohol.
- Once you graduate high school, apply for university. Since there is no specific major related to aviation in bitlife we recommend you to go with Psychology. (hint: since you’ve got high smart stat you have a high chance of getting a scholarship. Opt to apply for a scholarship as a way to pay for university.)
- Once you get into university continue to be a good student and study hard. Also visit the library when you can to maintain good smart stats.
- When you graduate university click the “seek higher education” option and apply for medical school. (hint: once again apply for a scholarship as a way of paying for it!)

- Once you get into medical school keep doing the same thing as before until you graduate. Keep studying hard and go to the library.
- When you’ve graduated from medical school all that is left is to apply for the “pilot trainee” job
- Keep working hard and you’ll eventually get promoted fro trainee to co-pilot, then to pilot and finally to airline captain!
What if the pilot trainee job is not available
Many people run into this issue but there’s an easy workaround. Just follow these steps:
- Shut down the game completely
- Restart it
- Check the available jobs again
Restarting the game resets the available jobs. You can just keep doing this until the pilot trainee job becomes available. If you followed the steps above getting hired should be no problem. This is the quickest way to get the pilot job.
However, if you don’t want to keep resetting your device you can use this alternative workaround:
- Apply for any other job (surgeon for example)
- Press the “age” button
- After you press the “age” button check the available jobs again. The jobs reset every year so you’ll just have to get lucky.
