Steps to become a writer
For this guide (as with all our bitlife guides), we’ll work under the assumption that you’ll be starting a new life. Since everyone is at a different point in their current life it only makes sense.
- Start a new life and make sure you have high a high “smart” stat. If you don’t start with a high “smart” stat, reroll until you get at least 85+ in the “smart” stat. The other stats don’t really matter, as long as you’re smart and decently happy you’ll be able to become a writer.
- Keep pressing the age button while studying hard in school and going to the library to maintain your smarts.
- When it’s time to go to college pick education or english as your major. (tip: since you’re smart, apply for a scholarship, you should be able to get it).
- Once you get in to your major keep studying hard and visiting the library when you can.
- When you graduate from university, press the “look for a job” button, then apply for the “writer (publisher)” job. You should get hired easily.

Can I become famous as a writer?

Can I skip university?
Yes, you can skip university and apply for the writer job immediately after high school. However, since university doesn’t take very long and is free when you get the scholarship we recommend you to go to university first. It increases your chance of getting the job.

There is no writer job available
If there is no writer job available you can follow these steps to refresh the available jobs.
- Close the app
- Restart it
- Check the job listings again
This trick should refresh the available jobs, which means that every time you do this there’s a new chance that the writer job will become available.
If you don’t want to do this, you can first take up another job and then check the available job boards every year. Once you see there’s an open writer position simply quit your current job and apply for the writer job.
